Meet the Management Team

Michele McGehee, CEO and Editor in Chief

Michele McGehee, Publisher and President of Catalyst Media Group, believes that all good stories are worth telling. As the founder of Catalyst Publishing Company, her vision was to create publications that support the local communities with positive stories that help empower, connect and inform the community. Since then, she has published Green Living: Sustainable Living in the South Sound and a new direct mail magazine in Pierce County, The Community Guide. Each publication supports nonprofits, businesses and communities.

Prior to Catalyst Media Group, Michele worked for Allscripts as an user interface designer and project manager. She was the lead designer in creating the #1 electronic medical record program in the United States. She was also a key team player that helped create the first medical reference library for the handheld computers used by physicians and was the project manager for Allscripts’ electronic publishing department, working with medical journals such as The New England Journal of Medicine, American Family Physician and Annals of Internal Medicine. She continues to support the company in a consulting capacity.

Previously to her positions with Allscripts, Michele worked with national laboratories on the nuclear cleanup efforts and CO2 Global Warming Program. She has over 25 years of experience in the publishing world with a strong background in technical communications.

Justin Weil, CFO

Justin Weil, CFO, is not new to the financial side of printing. Justin has been working in the printing industry for over 15 years. With a background in the financial aspects of printing, Justin brings a no-nonsense approach to the financial aspects of publishing. He has been involved in numerous startup companies. He continues to work diligently in creating a successful model for Catalyst Media and our publishers, searching for the highest quality in print services while keeping costs down.

Kenneth Russell, VP of Sales

Kenneth Russell, Sales Director, understands the complexities of print and web media. With over 10 years in advertising sales , his success has been proven by his inept ability to reach out to a diverse customer base and find ideal opportunities to drive revenue and ROI for his customers. From newspaper to direct mail, Kenneth has become an expert at understanding what works and doesn’t for his clients.

He takes his knowledge and experiences and provides a unique way to help others learn and grow their businesses. With his relaxed attitude and dedication to the customer, he makes sales fun!
